American Standard and Mitsubishi have 10-year parts warranties on all residential installations when they are properly registered. We take care of this registration for you and we keep a hard copy of your registration on file at our office.

In addition, when you buy equipment from David Ashcom Heating & Cooling, it comes with a one-year labor warranty and one year of FREE maintenance.

By choosing to renew your maintenance agreement on your new equipment, your labor warranty will be extended for up to 5 years from the install date.

Standard 14 SEER

This option is more efficient than what you already have. Other than the cost to operate, you will not experience any difference in performance.

If you are not going to be in your home for more than 2-3 years, the home is a rental property, or you are on a restricted budget this is the equipment for you.

High-Comfort 14.5 SEER

This option is a little bit more efficient but provides a whole new level of comfort. The outdoor unit is the same as the 14-SEER but the air handler is upgraded to the TAM9 variable speed model.

This variable speed air handler provides a warmer heat pump and drier AC air than traditional fixed speed air handlers. It is also designed to circulate the air in your home 24/7, resulting in a more even temperature and a higher level of comfort. The TAM9 is controlled by the 824 American Standard thermostat.

This thermostat is accessible by your smartphone for remote operation and does a superior job of managing how your equipment heats and cools your home.

If you value your comfort, only plan to be in your home for 5 years or less, are not sold on staged high-efficiency equipment, or just a middle of the road kind of person, this is the equipment for you.

High Comfort and High Efficiency 17-SEER 2 STAGE

This option delivers far greater efficiency and comfort. This system has the same air handler and thermostat as the high comfort equipment. The outdoor unit is where the extra efficiency comes from.

The compressor can run at 70% capacity, this technology has been around for 15 years and has proven itself to be extremely reliable. It is important to understand that when the efficiency of an air conditioner is determined, it is run at 100% capacity.

Therefore, the 17-SEER rating does not take into account the full efficiency of this staged heat pump. Staged heat pumps deliver greater energy savings and much higher comfort because they are capable of providing just the right amount of heating and cooling depending on how hot or cold it is outside.
